If you were going to a festival, and it was probably going to rain...

Wellies, one pair 'covered' comfy shoes, one pair flip-flops.sandals
One pair denim jeans, just because you should always take jeans
Quick drying materials, 1xpair full length, 1 pair shorts
Poncho
Some kind of rain mac or hooded coat that doesn't let rain in,
Clean underwear for twice the number of days of the festie since your a girl and girls care about these things.

excellent. useful advice (tho not sure re: jeans).

i might take my straw hat anyway. it could last three days, y'never know - and it only cost £3. I think i gave my proper stetson away...

actually, having tried on my wellies i'm a bit less worried, cos they do fit.

the last ten festivals i've been to have been dry, y'see?

Poncho, and Wellies, that's all :D

Have you just pissed in that glass, you perv?

This is Spanglechick we're talking about, not me! :D

I ain't wearing no fairy dress. :hmm:

We still haven't got you in a dress and full make up stig, do you even remember that conversation? :o:D

Do I get free booze if I wear fairy/fancy dress, cos that can be arranged.

*looks in dressing up box*

*Realises she's not sure people should know she has a dressing up box*

Goretex jacket, trousers, and socks (bought off ebay for around 30 quid total). A pair of work boots I got off my brother a few years ago.
Poncho.

Two pairs shorts (cut offs, more like 3/4 lengths really)- wear one, pack the other
Trackies for in the tent, sleeping in etc
Couple of tshirts
Warm wooly jumper
Zip up hoodie that goes over the warm jumper
Scarf
Baseball cap
Beanie that can be put over the baseball cap at night when it gets cold
Couple of pairs of boxers/ underwear
4 pairs socks (thin, to be worn under goretex ones)

Pack all your stuff in your bag in big bags or similar to keep it all dry.

If you're not anal like me and haven't accumulated all that crap go for cheap ponchos and wellies. If you don't have wellies the auld plastic bags inside trainers works grand, just use some talc or summit inside your socks or your feet'll get wet anyways from teh sweat.

Similarly, bin bags make a good DIY makeshift ponch thingy

I'm taking-

2x combat type trousers that are falling apart
1x jeans if it's dry ish
1x skirt if we see sun :hmm:
6 tops because I am messy and clumsy
waterproof kagoul
boots
wellies
flip flops for round camp
a couple of cardis/jumpers because it does get chilly
pants
socks (don't forget knee highs to make wellies more comfy)
pyjamas and bedsocks :o

Go on then:

big coat
biker boots
trainers
wellies
flipflops (for late night runs to the bog)

two pairs jeans
suit
3-4 shirts
3-4 tshirts
underwear and socks
dressing gown (see flipflops)

army-type poncho.
para boots.
shorts.
some say: shave your legs 'cos peeling mud off leg hair is a pain.
tankard 'cos it annoys people.
t-shirts.
white cotton trousers for humour value.

erm..

Jeans, 3 ish pants, 3 ish socks, couple of t-shirts, hat, boots, trainers, sandal like things, jacket, poncho. Half the kitchen :D

Surely you'd take wet weather stuff as a matter of course tho?
umm... i usually take trainers so i can wear those instead of sandals and i used to fit into a kagoul so i took that. but no: mostly frocks.

yay, grumpypants!:D

Go naked but for a coating of lard. It works for cross channel swimmers and thats gotta be wetter than a bit of rain.

a dressing gown is not minimal! even i'm not taking a dressing gown!:p

wake in the morning, need a wee or something. Dressing gown and flip flops, stroll over to toilets without having to get dressed. we've been known to take morning tea on our outside table with dressing gowns and a full teaset :p
