If you were Doctor Who...

I don't know why we hardly ever see any of that. It's not like they would have to build an expensive set, just use a library.

I'd love to see an episode set mostly inside the Tardis, maybe with a bad guy on the loose in it.

Yes!
I'm so fucked off about that. They could make wonderful (and cheap) episodes set inside all the endless rooms in the TARDIS.

Wankers.

Moffat had better fix that when he's the boss.

The Tardis would also have a kick-arse museum with all the galaxy's best artifacts rescued from just before they were meant to be destroyed.

And a garden with an artificial sun and rain an' shit.

It would make an excellent episode to introduce a new doctor or get to know a new companion.

no way, The Doctor doesn't mess with timelines like that. If he can save anything, he saves people. His MO is the very antithesis of such avaricious Timelords like The Meddling Monk or The Master

Why not take things that were going to vanish and keep them for his private enjoyment? He'd probably have loads of books from Alexandria and a couple of lost Shakespeare scripts and the lost episodes of Dad's Army and stuff.

He is not a selfish aesthete Alex, and the trappings of dead civilisations might be a bit boring when you can just zoom back and watch the artist craft them, no?

Not if you've been there once before and can't go back in case you meet yourself which as we know would lead to massive problems in the space-time continuinuum UNLESS the plot calls for it.

So.

Also, they might be presents and he is too polite to say 'no'.

curse you to the Medusa Cascade and back.

Doctor Who is a righter of wrongs and a being concerned with the preservation of life, not you with a TARDIS gallivanting back to lutherian era europe to sample some rare vintage when it was nouve dammit.

I'd be a scruffy, spikey and manic doctor who - with lots of laughing, cursing and waving arms around.

I would have christina ricci in mopey goth mode as my assistant.

I'd bend Billie Piper over he TARDIS console then use my time twiddling powers to constantly loop the vinegar strokes

You know what would fucking rock? A Doctor Who RPG computer game thing. You could design your own Time Lord and recruit companions and stuff (like in Baldur's Gate). And go to all different worlds and eras.

But there wouldn't be much fighting, it would have to be all puzzle-solving. So it could be shit. Down with this sort of thing.

Oh yes. He could sit in the library on a cushion and the Doctor could cuddle him when he came home from adventures.

Then he wouldn't have to be alone every time his companions left him. :(

I'm by no means knowledgeable in matters relating to the Doctor, but didn't he end up meeting Queen Victoria and a shitload of wolves (See? I know nothing...) when he was trying to get to a Dury & The Blockheads gig?

Off topic, so indulge me & ignore me, but given the post-Tennant speculation and the fact that a lot of actors would give their eye teeth for a cameo, I'd love to see the Doctor morph through a series of famous faces before we find out who's playing him next.

Carry on...

Oh gods, for a Black books Dr Who medley...

I would be a cruel doctor who realises that without peers his ability to shape the timeline to make a better future is almost limitless...

Sod it, i'd be the Master.

It's a shame they cast the Master the way they did. He'd have made an excellent Doctor.

I'd be an alcoholic homosexual doctor who who was cheerful sometimes but very grumpy and bitter at other times, wore very unusual clothes, mostly a shaggy wool scarf and a really gay wristwatch, and i'd treat my companions like shit, constantly making them make me cups of tea and getting doughnuts from greggs, and every episode would feature approximately 3-5 minutes of hot gay ass sex. I'd start off each episode with a glass of wine, sipping it all the time, and by the end I'd be swigging from the bottle.

I dunno, I think I'd be inclined to bring Alex Kingston along - older, probably more open to suggestions as to what could be done with the Gallifreyan manhood...

I'd ditch the Tardis completely for a futuristic talking car.

Oh, wait...
