I know this is a bump of an old thread, but I have a good(ish) story about bum cracks and the dangers of social media.

It was maybe six years ago. We had a vacancy and two applications came in from people working for a competitor a long way away. So we googled them. She had a "normal" name, so we got nowhere. He was Piers double barrelled something or other, with really poor FB privacy settings so we were straight in there. Which revealed that the other candidate was his gf, which led us to her FB page where there was a picture of his arse crack.

They were just a young couple looking to relocate, but it was quite entertaining interviewing them and pretending to not know that they were up against eachother.

She got the job.

We did debate whether we should print the picture of her bf's crack, and leave it in her desk draw for her to see on her first day, but we didn't because despite the fact that we are a bit childish at work, we are not that childish. (And we liked her and wanted her to join the team and didn't want to piss her off on day one, or indeed get into trouble with HR) But, once she had joined and got to know us all and we had sussed out that she was sound, we did.

I've just looked at the mundane north photo thread in stealth mode and I can see the photos I've posted that are hosted on photobucket, even though I'm not logged in to the site. Presumably it can't be cached versions as stealth mode doesn't save anything.
