If God made heaven and earth, who made hell?

And if God made it then what the fuck was he playing at?!?!

But if he didnt then someone else must have.....Evil God (the devil), or Big God (god & the devils dad/god).

Either way there is more than one God now.

I'm writing to the pope at this very moment to make him aware of this new amendment. I'll let you know what he says. :)

I thought that Hell was created when God hurled the infidels from Heaven.

Which would mean that God made it by default no?

that article has one of my favourite quotes ever, which id completely forgotten about, i heard it on jonathan millers show about atheism and its spot on in my mind....ladies and gentlemen, the epicurean paradox.
Either God wants to abolish evil, and cannot; or he can, but does not want to. If he wants to, but cannot, he is impotent. If he can, but does not want to, he is wicked. If, as they say, God can abolish evil, and God really wants to do it, why is there evil in the world?

If God removed evil from Earth, wouldn't it become Heaven?

no, because heaven implies eternal life etc, whereas on earth even without evil we still fall ill or grow old and die. Etc.

The Bible is pretty fucking vague on heaven, but i suspect it's supposed to be a bit more than Swindon without the pubfights.

Hell is the absence of God. Therefore God did not make it. Or did He? By absenting Himself from something was He not in fact creating His absence? It is quite an interesting theological question.

But then there's the problem of the devil........Gods equally powerful yet evil twin.

The crux is:

1) God is not God - he was created along with the devil by BIG GOD (who is not nice or bad, he sits on the BIG FENCE)

or

2) God created evil and the devil - which means he's a sly bastard

or

3) There is no God or devil and religion is fucking stupid

HMMMMMMMM

4. Good and evil are dialectically related in a mutually definitive binary opposition. Evil is necessary for the existence of good.

Which means god had to create evil.

God is a sadist.

Forget the image of white flowing robes bring on the leather and PVC. :D

Yeah thats the same as number 2 but not as summarised and with more big words in an obvious attempt to make you look knowledgeable and suave to potential mates you may meet via Urban. 2/10

I don't really believe in angels (or Satan, coz satan's meant to be an angel) either. From a theological point of view there's no real point to them, since they're not divine and they don't really have free will or anything, they can't actually do anything apart from what G-d tells them to do, so I'm inclined to think they don't actually exist apart from a metaphor for G-d's power in the world.

My Mum believes in angels. She thinks she has Angels who sit on the roof of her car and magic up parking spaces for her. They also slide off if she breaks the speed limit, it would seem.

She's in a neo pentacostalist church.

One take on hell that i think is cool, God created man, and created the angels to serve man, all the angels were happy to serve man except one, namely Satan, who didn't want to bow to man because he loved God so much the only person he wanted to bow to was God himself, so he refused to serve man, and God was angry that Satan had disobeyed him, so he cast him out of heaven.

So Satan's only sin was loving God too much :)

And Satan maintained the constant torment of hell for all eternity, simply by playing the constant echo of God telling him to leave heaven :(
