I really hoped this could have been an interesting thread ...
If wishes were horses, beggars would ride
If turnips were swords, I'd wear one by my side
If ifs and ands were pots and pans, we'd have no need for tinkers hands

Like fuck it was, it’s pertinent given recent news/political wrangling.

or maybe the news is always filled with idiotic fluff of no real interest or relevance to most people.

I was going to reply and debate with you, but then I remembered that you're a prick.

Don't worry, you know deep down I have a celtic soul and that it will burst forth when I see the Welsh construct a new society, a revitalised nation. With the Stereophonics, Charlotte Church and Pot Noddles you shall bring the world to it's knees and bring me to my senses!

Five Nations are we Celtic, Strong and Free!

do you do retard impressions for a living.

What the fuck do you even mean by nation?

God, i hate you petty lil nationalist fucktards, go fuck a sheep whilst your pot noddle mining uncle butt fucks you with a leek.

Hmmm... "retard", nice! Great level of debate."

"lil nationalist fucktards!"- Would-be 'Maircan speak? Tosser!

"go fuck sheep whilst your pot noddle [-I think he meant noodle-] mining uncle butt fucks you with a leek"- An anti nationalist using the language of the English nationalist? Nice and coherent...

As for being active in anti-racist activities in Belfast, well, you've got your fucking work cut out mate. And, ironically, your intolerant posts seem to suggest why.

Though I actually agree with you in that nationalism is generally a load of bollocks, your way of trying to make your point makes you sound like a pathetic little (sorry, was that "lil"?- wanker!) shitbag.

You don't have to be an English nationalist to use such language and I don't like the way you emply English nationalists use anti Welsh language...but whoever you was just replying to, is well out of order.

My last post was childish, I retract it. If there's going to be a proper debate i'll jump in, but I think Revol68, if he really has done anti-racist work in Belfast, comes across as if he was involved in one of the factions there.

Or he had a bad experience with Irish nationalists.

But it must be pointed out Irish nationalism and it's associated politics has nothing to do with Wales or with hypothetical questions of English independence.

I think alot of people could say they "had bad experiance with Irish nationalists" to put it mildly.

My problem isn't with particular nationalisms, but with nationalism itself. It's violent kernal was just all the more exposed in northern ireland, but it is always the same, an imagined community, class collaboration and power politics.
