For those that know North Kent: I needed to get from Strood to Snodland (to the Paper Mill). Standing on the platform at 5:30am, no announcements at that time in the morning, I got on the train when it came, only to find myself being carried over the river to Rochester.
So I got off at the next station and caught the next train back. Unfortunately it was a Victoria train, not a Charing Cross one. It didn't go through Strood and was a fast train that didn't stop 'til Bromley South. Upshot was; it took me 5 trains to get to work instead of one. And I was three hours late. On my first day!
