Ideas for knitted gifts

boo to dropped stitches.. I've had to start things over because I don't know how to pick up stitches

I never finished my scarf last year as i just gave up. The wool seemed quite itchy too.
I'm going to try to make a cushion cover but I haven't progresed onto patterns yet. Hmm.

Perseverance

Some wools are dead itchy... have a look at alpaca - that's soft, but pricey.

Woman of your talents should be ably to manage them. Have you used circulars before?

Knitting them

Prefer circulars over straights now... but fingers of gloves are a funny one - I have no idea how chunky or slim other peoples fingers are, and I just think they'd look a bit shoddy.
