ID cards scrapped. Now could you vote Labour to keep the Tories out?

Vote in the rebels, the mavericks, and anyone who shows any sign of having at least rudimentary principles.
Except, that still puts the party leader in number 10. A vote for Tony Benn was a vote for Blair as PM. A vote for Hoey is a vote for Brown as PM.

It wouldnt make me any more likely to vote Labour. They are disgusting authoritarians who will only do a U turn because of public or financial pressure.

it';s finance - there's a lot of party pressure to kill any expensive projects off while the economy is so fucked. See also Trident renewal

Well Brown always blathered about it being revenue netural because the nasty shit wanted to flog off our data to corporations.

here's hoping Trident goes down the plughole though.

id cards have not been scrapped. What has been cancelled is the humungous database that was going to keep track of every bit internet traffic from facebook etc. And even that hasn't really been scrapped, its just that the government are going to make the net companies pay for the retention of data.

I wouldn't vote Labour either way, I imagine.

Control freakery is in New Labours DNA. They have scrapped it now because they see it losing them votes, not because they have been convinced by the arguements against it.
I still dont see a link pointing to any kind of announcement that theyve been scrapped, though if they had any kind of sense considering the debt they have amassed and the public service cuts they need to make, a quick one-two on scrapping ID cards and Trident would save nearly £40billion and win back a few labour votes.

cost of trident £20billion

Edit: i still vote libdem in national elections as a 'protest vote' (cos they cant win in my laboursafe seat) on proportional representation. New Labours breaking of their manfiesto promise in 97 to bring in PR was the sign of cunts to come

or vote Tory and get the same nasty cunts who detest the working class

Or vote labour to get more of the same shit that has fucked the UK as they always do.
The global downturn has done the world in general but that fails to explain why the pound is so weak and the UK is hit so hard.
Saying labour would fuck up sorting out a piss up in a brewery does.

Labour may be the party of the workers but under a labour goverment no fucker has a job.

Vote Tory.

I would rather drive nails in to my feet than vote for that shower ever again. I swore after they bulldozed their way into Iraq against everyone's wishes that I would never vote for them again and nothing they have done since has changed my mind. They absolutely stink and there isn't a single reason I can think of to return them to power. They make me ashamed that I was ever a member of their fucking party. NO, I will never vote for them again and can't wait for them to come canvassing so I can tell them to fuck off face to face. I am simply not voting. If there is nothing on the menu you walk out of the restaurant
