It was an age ago. Seem to remember asking him if he ever got over to watch West Ham much.
He didn't, but vaguely remember him talking about the Peak Freens biscuit factory, and the smell from it when he was on the bus. I think it was in Bermondsey.

This appeared on my fb feed the other day. Ian Drury and the Blockheads, one of the best British bands of all time. But anyway excellent artwork and a good story.

That's a blast from the past!! I spoke with Ian dury about what had happened with the convoy at either kent custom bike show or / and Glastonbury in June 85 and he said he was gonna make a tribute tune. I didn't realise he had! They were hazy days
