Ian Brown - is he really a monkey?

Have to say i always thought John Squire'd be the one to do decent solo stuff but i've been consistently pleasantly surprised by Ian Brown's solo stuff. Plus anyone who manages to have a successful career as a singer for nearly 20 years despite not being able to hold a tune in a bucket deserves some respect. :p
(i'm joking, before anyone starts-his voice isn't half as bad as people make out ;) )
