I will say this only once

I love 'Allo 'Allo.

It makes me laugh:D

(altho not as much as the You've Been Framed clip of the pet squirrel going down granny's dress - that had me in tears yesterday:D)

I wish they'd repeat Secret Army. I watched it and liked it, but it would be probably be as shite as 'allo allo nowadays :D

I once saw Allo Allo live on stage in Wimbledon.

It was pretty much the same as the programme, only with added 'stolen madonna with the big boobies' jokes and added pratfalling. I think I quite enjoyed it, but I was about 11

No...that's "Two Pints..."

Allo, Allo is just shite, unfunny, poorly scripted, badly 'acted' unfunny shite.

I don't mind Two Pints, I can't watch it now but when I was about 17 I found it quite lol funny.

Hyacinth Bucket is still way more depressing.

Compared to Last if The Summer Wine, Hyancinth Bucket was genius though

How long did that programme run for? Something like 657 years and every episode involved fucking Compo careering down a hill in some stupid contraption or other. Old people and memories like a goldfish: discuss.

We were discussing this over New Year. My friend said Last of the Summer Wine had 45 series.

She said it in all seriousness and I don't want to wikiwhatty it because I want it to be true in my mind.

allo allo was and is brilliant.
never watch 2 pints...etc so no idea what it was like
keeping up appearances was, and still is, terrible.
i always liked waiting for god.
the old last of the summer wine were mostly good. the newer ones are just terrible.

It's not far off!
(But I won't tell you which way.)

There's a running joke between me and my mum that my Nan (my dad's mum) is like Hyacinth Bucket. She's not really, she does have some of the same foibles but on a much lower scale. My granddad was very much like Richard though :D

I think everyone knows someone like Hyacinth in their family, that's why it was so funny*

I know I did.

*Funny for one series though, before it was done to death.
