i want new shoes :(

I did wonder why there is 3 pages of posts, and now I know. The alternate reality crew visited :p And that second picture of sheo's selection is Rocky and Frankenfurter. You coulda found a Tim Curry one  :p ;)

But back to the shoe thread..............
The skinny hairy chocolate muncher has checked many outdoor sites(shops and manufacturers) for you and it seems they are no longer available in the UK.

If I was you I would phone salomon, ask if they are still available on the continent and get them there(if it would avoid taxes)
If not you can get them from the US, I would also get at least two pairs to make it worthwhile, and also remember the shoe size difference.

Or you could come for a visit and go to some real outdoor shops :)
(Only Tiso in London is in Selfridges, useless)

jeeeeez - you lot want me to get new shoes huh

well for a start i went to london today - and it trapsing round shoe shops is
shit!
so i wont bother again.

when i looked on the first link on google i was unable to find any 'contact us' details, i guess opera may display things differently. or i'm just thick.

i refuse to believe they dont sell them in the uk any more :(

i like sheo's idea of buying lots of pairs and having the same shoes forever . . . but thats not very adventureous is it.

thankyou for all your assistance. looks like i might be buying stuff from the states then. anybody know how to do that? taxes etc.

thanx

wiskers

of course my mother has just suggested i wash the ones i have :o

So Mystery Guest and the policeman were in the Rocky Horror... show?

wiskers - the customs website helpfully gives a list of common internet purchases likely to incur charges......under 'clothing' (there wasn't a seperate 'shoe' section, so I assume it comes under 'clothes') it says....

Generally 12%.....
:)

.......except for imports from USA where special rates of duty may apply

So in short....'fuck knows' is the answer to your question. :p

How about finding a friendly u.s. based urban poster (sending them the money via paypal?) who might then order them and send them to you as 'a gift'?
They'd be able to get a more reasonable postage charge too I would have thought (the postage quoted there is for UPS which is, if I'm not mistaken, actually a courier service - normal parcel rates plus insurance are, I think, a fair bit less).

I might join you actually if anyone volunteers themself for that job!

Not exactly a man with a plan

Infact - you could presumably just pay on the website yourself, but get it delivered to a u.s address (to be sent on to you)?

Although ofcourse - you'd still have to give them the money for the postage back here...... :o  :p :o :D
