No, I don't think so. We've been here nearly 6 yrs and it's the first time they've done it. Mr Madz rang them and asked why it was only a year and they said they're doing it with all their tenancies now. It'll be to do with money

Granted, however an extra tenner a week could be beyond us. If they're going to increase it once a year we won't be able to cope unless something pretty drastic happens

Not wanting to sound harsh but if it hasn't gone up for a few yrs a tenner a week is just it catching up surely?? Our rent goes up by £3-5 a week every year iirc.
Our rent has just over doubled in 12 yrs, our income bloody well hasn't

It's gone up at the end of every assured period. This is the 4th rise in 6 years. It was £720 a month when we moved - this latest rise takes it up to £860

It still a relief to know we're not going to be thrown out though. Weve just got to find the money now.

Oops!! I've misunderstood one of your previous posts! I thought coz they hadn't checked for 6 yrs they hadn't upped the rent for that time either.

I'm not going to say what my rent is coz I think it makes folk want to cry I hope you get shite loads of land for that money!!

5 acres but that only accounts for approx £15 a week. To be honest £860 a month is about right for this sort of house round here, maybe even a bit on the low side. Doesn't mean we can afford it though

looking at the prices down there, I'm surprised anyone can afford it (apart from well off retirees )
