Just as an aside... While I was at the vets (PDSA Hull... Give generously
) there was a woman with a Champagne Standard Poodle. I thought I knew my Poos having had Amber who was an apricot which is quite rare and cheque-book endangeringly expensive.
Now apricot (orangy ginger) I'd heard of obviously and white, chocolate and black are the colour you would expect. There's even a silver (grey) and a partie (multi-coloured... beautiful but no chance in a show) but Champagne? Never heard of it.
This mutt was the most dazzling shade of gold you've ever seen. Think of a golden retriever, turn the colour up to ten and you're not even close. No fancy clip just puppy clip (toeses and noses, crew-cut and a pom) and the most dazzling intelligent orange eyes. It was love at first sight. And where did she get this stunning canine? The RSPCA pound.

I hope I get a thread like this next time I moan about knocking on a bit and feeling a bit under the weather!
......actually come to think of it my mum sounds weak and lifeless when her arthritis is really troubling her...pain wears you out....a few people I know with arthritis feel it worse with changes in barometric pressure......
