Probably frustration innit. It's so time consuming to have to either correct or counter this stuff, so that the person posting the problem doesn't potentially suffer a detriment as a result.

I've never reported anyone else's, either - although the person who'se come closest to it has been garfieldlechat. He's only the 2nd person I've ever had to put on ignore in this place, too. I've grown tired of his over-the-top strops on these boards, quite frankly.

This thread bears many similarities to ed's laptop/ebay thread. Help for a specific, personal problem gets drowned in a flood of debate around issues raised by the original problem. Most threads can handle a bit of this - after all, seeing the bigger picture can help clarify the problem. Some threads spiral out of control and end up being useless to the OP.

This thread is in danger of doing the latter.

So, I'd suggest that posters who want to discuss the futility or otherwise of workplace political manouvering should start a thread for that topic. It's a good topic for a thread that will run and run. Meanwhile, personal, specific advice for Starfish can be given on this thread.

EDIT: Note for the point-scorers: I hadn't even noticed a reported post before I wrote this, so it's got nothing to do with that.

precisely particularlly when both KBJ and poster numbers decide to launch their personal greivnece at any given oppertunty about how neithe rof them like unions and are therefore depriving someone who could proably do with it access to a method recourse.

oth these posters could cost someone their job with their insessently inaccurate information and comments. if you think that saying to two people stop it you're wrong and so is your adivce and you are leading people astray or outing either of them as charletons isn't helpful Jog then i'm afraid you're nuts... really...

their comments aren't helpful, they are just grinding their own personal axes with someone elses problems and that is a cunts trick really...

you don't think it's helpful i'd say proably not but longer term and when ti comes to peoples livelyhoods if they could both remeber it's a thread to help others and not for more of their personal witch buringing antics it will be, longer term...

I'm looking at changing careers, but thanks for the snippets of advice I did get.
