holy shit - i have an interview on friday, for and they asked me if i'd be interested in an advertising role as i have strong graphic design skills and experience in sales (i thought they wanted a photo editor), i have to do a maths test (EEEK!) and think about my favourite ad' campaign at the moment and why i like it

I have an interview on Friday!!! With a fashion company in Hackney - hopefully the pay will be alright.

Yay! I've been offered a temp gig today (my agency's just told me but not official yet). Unfortunately, I think they're not going to offer me enough money and I'm not keen to take a pay cut. Plus there's a few other interesting jobs afoot which I'm keen on. You watch - in a month's time I'll be eating beans and begging for a job licking dustbins as a result of my current cockiness. On the bright side, I've only got 12 days left in my fucked up current job.

I've looked at some jobs with lower pay and I could just about survive on it but have decided that it's not worth it. Best to stick it out and wait for a job that pays alright.

write a shit hot covering letter that can be easily changed depending on the job you're applying for, update your cv and if needs be, fiddle dates! email your cv & covering letter off and follow it up with a phonecall to make sure they got it.

the best results i have had have not come from agencies but gumtree and jobs.guardian.co.uk

imho your covering letter is as important if not more important than your CV.
