I LOVE Pot Noodles - Is This Wrong?

I'm sure someone has been along to point this out, but there's nothing wrong with MSG. It's fine. It's actually not as bad for you as salt. All a slightly xenophobic myth.

Just had a bowl of samyang kimchi noodles

514 kcals (plus a few more from the sweet chilli sauce I added)
2.1 grammes sodium.

To be perfectly honest I don't like them that much - tends to leave me a tad bloated and it's a bit on the fiery side.

At the very least I ought to use miso soup instead and chuck in some fresh veggies ...

Nong Shim makes (IMO) the nicest kimchi noodles. Though I think any kimchi would leave you a bit bloated and firey. It is spicy saurkraut, after all. :)

Pot Noodle seems a bit weak after having the Korean and Japanese ones. Their noodles are a bit nicer, and you notice these things.

I've been eating far too many of these lately. I normally keep a stash at work in case I happen to have no lunch want something warmer than sandwiches or find it difficult to get away from desk, the cold mornings this past week have meant spending what is making lunch time in the mornings to defrosting the car time. I have another king chicken and mushroom pot lined up for today! :(

The only good thing about pot noodles is the washed out, empty pot. I use them when painting.
I can't stand them otherwise, taste terrible and the msg (even at the current reduced level) affects me badly.

There is a supermarket on campus at a local university. It stocks a vast array of noodles, pot and regular. From the four corners of the world, mystery ingredients and unreadable (to me) labels. We get them as surprise food, like a lucky dip sort of.
