funny you mention that... whenever I hear about glory boys I always think that there is another side to the coin.

the person who supports a lower league "local" team and revels in the suffering, failures and gritty struggle of "their" club. even though their team never wins anything they get the moral high ground, the righteous sneer and the "i'm a proper fan" satisfaction which they can endlessly bang on about to others.
