Never saw the others at the cinema, that could be the difference. Besides, I was well into animals (not in a sex way) when I was a kid and as I was 11/12 when The Lion King was released, and we saw it on a trip to London with my best mate's family, it was one of my favourite memories of seeing a film as a kid.

It's different for you; you saw Steamboat Willy at the cinema so can compare the lot.
