I have quit my job - woohoo!

:D

It's going to be weird, being a full time mum for a bit  Perhaps I'll go to mother and toddler clubs and stuff :D

If you do, don't forget to talk loudly and at length about how WOHMs are damaging their kids and you simply can't understand why anyone would choose to have a child knowing they wouldn't be able to give up work. Might as well go the whole hog and see how the other half live innit :D

(((((trashpony))))))

Enjoy your time off! :D

What moomoo wrote. Mother and toddler??? If you do go I seriously hope it's improved from when I tried it. Stuck up, middleclass married twats with badly behaved brats

Please note I last went to M&T over 20 yrs ago. Boy never went because I was sooooo unimpressed when I'd gone with girl.

I quit a job in late March, left the fuckers with shed loads of complicated paperwork that needed to me to sign it, ha fuckin ha, shaft me and I'll shaft you back.

I went with all three of mine, every Tuesday and Friday morning at the church hall without fail. I just thought it was something I ought to do otherwise I would have been a bad mummy. :(

I died a little more inside each time.

Still, I'm sure they aren't all bad..................

:)

Not at all, a couple of my friends have been to groups like Boogie Bears (madamv being one of them) and met some lovely people they've grown really close to. Good for them and their kids I think.
Obviously the foal is in nursery but some kids don't have any interaction with their peers until school if they don't go to this sort of thing.

You should check out Boogie Bears Trashy, I went with my godson once it's ace. Fab songs too.

*Goes off singing Donkey Joe* :o

When I was on maternity leave, I went to a couple of baby bounce classes (basically sing-a-longs) at my library. It was full of exactly the kind of people you describe who were all boasting about their children's achievements . I did strike up a friendship with one woman though and decided that perhaps they weren't all bad. It turned out she was a nanny :D

I think you're going to have a brilliant summer, trashy.

I'm dead jealous, my work is going to hell in a handbasket. :(

Great news trashy!!!!

And, yes boogie bears is fab :o You feel a bit of a twat singing and dancing around with a bunch of strangers, but not so different to a friday night pre babe heh?

I had no mates with babies you see, then I found some! hurrah - summer off! Grab yerself some daft caravan holiday down y'ere for a weekend of beach and sunshine. I got a beach hut booked for end of May!

Excellent news! Shame about the long notice period at the nursery, but then, you don't actually have to take him in every day you've paid for, do you?

I went to a mother and toddler group when my daughter was a baby, and ended up being one of the organisers too. It was really, really not middle-class and ambitious, though; there were a couple of home-owners who had previously had jobs in the city, but most of us were living in social housing - only a couple of the Mums were even married and I was the only one of the regulars who'd studied past the age of 16. They were all lovely :)
