I like Dave. There was a classic Top Gear episode yesterday (crossing the channel on car/boats) and lots of Ray Mears. I have been giving 'A question of sport' a miss though.

I don't even like Top Gear, but that episode is brilliant, very funny, and Jools Holland does a lap on that one.

... I've been off work sick so I've been watching lots of daytime tv, and Dave has saved me from madness.

I've had three different boyfriends called Dave. Actually one of them has now become David because he thinks it makes him sound more serious. He's still a tosser though

I've got a friend called Dave, he's called Dai though because he's Welsh. Do you think Dai TV would embrace a bigger demographic? Anything that excludes half the population of this country is not a good idea.

There are many urbanites called Dave. I don't have a mate Dave (well not ay that I've seen in ages). I have got an uncle David though and feel that, spiritually - being a 'bloke' - I have a mate called Dave.

It's issed me off. I can't get the history channel anymore. It just won't work because of shitty Dave, who only has one good program anyway (QI). TOtP2 doesn't count cause it's hit n miss

UK History's still on Freeview, but only between 7am and 6pm, as UK History's now using the space where UK Brightideas was, and Dave's now in the space where UK History used to be.

I have a Tv channel called Dave too. The History Channel has dissappeared and young Planet isn't best pleased. He hates Dave. If he doesn't get his Adam Hart-Davis fix soon, all hell is going to break loose.

I take it that people are not that enthusiastic over UKTV G2's rebranding/naming for digital freeview/cable/satellite then....?

Considering Tesco had the boxes on sale for £10 a while back, that's a bit silly since it seems that you like the existing 5 channels or some subset of. They cut a channel you don't get to half a day to bring in another channel you don't get for a whole day. (I'm pretty sure no-one gives a shit about Bright Ideas)

History channel was never as good as its name suggest anyways.
