Nevermind all that – are we going to lunch. I have my 2 for 1 vouchers and I’m hungry.

Wait a minute – you’re at home?! I bet you’ve still got your jammies on, you lucky swine.

I shouldn't have mentioned his jammies should I? I'M ASKING FOR IT! :(:(

J – you are being a suggestive LOON and it must cease!

Ta
Seems a bit jokey. It might stop some people but not others. Have you sent it?

Why not just say "Let's have a bit less of the innuendo shall we? It's not really appropriate for work colleagues."

give him a chance? no. he's a prick. he shouldn't be engaging in sexual harrassment, should he? i mean, he's not so stupid that he doesn't realise that's what it is, does he?

Yeah hairy muff I missed that second mail that he wrote coz I was writng my post .....

Tosser and he is out of order

If it were me, I'd probably say something like this...

Dear J

Look, I know we've enjoyed a giggle and it's generally good having you around, however I'm not really enjoying your emails, specifically the level of innuendo in them. I don't know if you just think you're being friendly, if this is the case then could you please stop? Because I'm not finding it very friendly, more, well, sleezy, and I don't really think it's appropriate for work.

Hopefully this is just a misunderstanding that can be cleared up now. :) For future though, perhaps you might want to think about how your emails could easily be interpreted by a lot of people/women....

Course not - he should take the hint when you dont be as suggestive in your replies and fuck the fuck right off with his smarmy sleaze banterisms

Fair play for sending the email :D

Is he called Colin?

Oh :(

I thought it was non-confrontational, didn't have a lot of needless scary-HR jargon and would probably work, and I can imagine following up with, if neccessary 'No, I'm serious, stop it' if he carried on and it would still be non-confrontational?

I know age doesn't particularly have anything to do with this but I'm 33 and do know how to look after myself :)

men/women of all ages are subject to sexual harrasment.

although i completely understand why you sent the email you sent.

Well, hopefully it will work, and then it will have been a good email! :)

And you're right, you can always follow it up with something a bit sterner or explicit if you need to.

Yeah. I thought I should clarify. We're both 33 and we're the same 'level' at work so it's not so much of a power thing, iyswim.

Oop, there he goes off for a meeting. No reply for a while then.

g'luck with it!
wonder what his reaction'll be? :)
i once got called a humorless lesbian in response to a similar situation :D

Did you just send the loon line, because not sure if I'm being thick, but the two emails don't really seem to go together.

Frankly, I can't quite believe he could possibly mean it, or even mean it as a joke and risk me taking him seriously.

<-- self-esteem 'issue' cuz carrying teh xtra poundage

I think 5t3IIa should post him email on here and we should all mass perve him. ;)

Though he might actually enjoy that.

Yes. I sent the loon line in reply to the cheeks and BBW one.

They don't go together, no but I suppose that's the point - if I replied in kind I'd be making it worse innit

:)

fair point
i was on the brink of leaving anyhow, so..
the fact that i don't work there anymore is good for me
the fact they don't hvae my fantastic phone skillz is bad for them.

the fact that i didn't report it is, yes, very very minus points for me.
edit: it wasn't bg who called me a humorless lesbian, it was one of their wanky employees.
