I got 4 bottles of Gluhwein from Lidl yesterday, and a Stollen. Yum.

And a great big sausage.

Lidl is ace. And especially good for Christmassy stuff, but all year round it is great!

I mean - 1.5L bottles of sparkling water for 24p each!!

half a freezer drawer in size

4.2 kg though...

thats if they are still there in tottenham though I doubt they would have gone

I'm looking forward to my first vist to Lidl in Finsbury Park :)

A mate of ours went to the 'grand opening' at 7am  He said the most popular things on sale were water filter jugs and deep fat friers. strange.

Think i'll do my xmas food shopping there...

  That sounds like the bestest thing ever

Lidl always seem to have lots of cheap stuff but I have NEVER brought anything from there.....

I also hate the fact that they will not let you out without walking through the tiny checkouts which are always full of fat people.

I can see lidl from my house :)

They are very good for stocking up on basics and even some of their frozen stuff is really fucking good.I can't believe the price difference between getting a sainsburys chicken and a lidl chicken..will buy the pies soon as though :).

Is Lidl German?

Would explain their great range of sweet things :)

Get their German Christamssy Gingerbread biscuit things.

Are they called Pfeffernuse or something? anyway 50p a pack with icing on one side, Christmassy shapes.

YUM!:)

They also do the cheapest rye bread ever. 59p. It's usally over £1.50 everywhere else. I assume 'cos it's trendy....

Yep, and Aldi's main competitor.
They are only called Pfeffernuesse if they are the half moons covered in white icing. Forgot the names of the ones you are referring to but munching my way through them at home at the moment as well. Try some of the Nuernberger Obladen as well. They are the bollocks#!

Anyway, have sent my son to get the lobster tools. 2.49 for six forks/spoons and the same for the cracker. Still have a lobster from last year in the freezer and at the mo they are doing 6/8 langoustines for 9.99. Will be treating myself to those.

i got a grocers crate (about 25) satsumas at lidl for £1.50! and they were all perfect!!

that'll teach me to be a supermarket snob. mind you Iceland (shop and prob country) is full of gormless c*nts
