I ate meat :(

My bottom line these days after falling off a 20-plus year vegan wagon (apart from the odd blue cheese temptation), is only to eat things I'm prepared to catch and dispatch myself occaisionally ...

I might abuse myself some more by ordering king prawn and chilli palak(
Prawns aren't cute and don't have a proper face. :D

I was a vegaquarian (not sic) for 15 years. Piece of piss. All depends on why you're not eating meat. For me it was battery farming etc, so prawns weren't a moral dilemma.

Think again, I too thought that and was corrected:

http://www.eurocbc.org/page777.html

Environmental groups have uncovered a catalogue of abuses
associated with prawn farming, including rape, arson and murder.
In over ten producing countries opponents of prawn farms have
been killed by persons reportedly acting on behalf of shrimp
farm operators. In Bangladesh, a major exporter of prawns to the UK,
over 150 people are understood to have been murdered in prawn
related conflicts.

http://www.wrm.org.uy/bulletin/64/general.html#mangroves

Mangroves, coastal forests located in tropical and equatorial areas of the world, are part of these wetlands. They are presently seriously threatened. According to FAO, over 50% of the mangroves have already disappeared. Today the main cause of mangrove loss is the expansion of the shrimp industry, breeding shrimps or tropical prawns in coastal areas of poor countries to export them to rich countries such as Spain, the United States or Japan. In fact, most of the prawns found today on the market are a product of the destruction of coastal ecosystems in the countries of the South and of the displacement of local populations.

That's the second post of yours today that's had "bellend" running through it like a stick of rock... not that I'm counting.

Oh come on, people were fighting over money not prawns

Prawn related conflict just sounds so surreal

You're the second person to say that I am equally at a loss as to why, I really did it because meat makes me feel lethargic and bloated: the way you feel after eating far too much pasta and garlic bread. I ended up knocking meat on the head largely because of this and also because I do prefer the taste of veg to meat. (Fillet of dexter beef aside).

First booze, then meat, all for women.:)

I'm with you :D God some people just cannot take a fucking joke!

Pigeon - Think again on Atlantic Prawns. Young's Seafoods, the uk's largest producer, now airfrieghts their entire catch to Thailand for processing & packing, before flying it all back to UK/EU for sale.

Try the Scottish Forum for links etc.

Am I the only person now contemplating a prawn and donnermeat pizza?
:D

I'm also a bad vegetarian... ;)
We can but try.

And you doubted the sexyness of a kebab pizza firky. I told you they were well weapon. (that is the "in" phrase of the moment isn't it)
