It's been a bumpy ride but I'm safely through .

The regulator for my profession has been after me for the last 2 years even though I did nothing wrong. They thought I did because they don't understand how my job works. They are notorious for presuming we're all guilty unless proved innocent and their success rate in convictions is more than 98%.

After two years of the regulator ignoring my explanations we ended up with a two day hearing in front of the professional disciplinary tribunal in London. Courtroom, barristers , the works.

And the tribunal decided that the charge against me wasn't proven. I wanted to kiss every one of them

So fuck you regulator. You should have listened to what I was saying . I am the 1% that walks away untarnished

Being proved right is a nice feeling.

Being proved right after 2 years with a lot at stake, well, you have a lot to celebrate!

I can understand your relief. Years ago my father was under investigation for something quite serious and damaging to his career. After three years he was proven "innocent." His relief was immeasurable.

Now you can get on with your life properly.

I think that it takes so long so the people defending themselves will eventually run out of money or motivation to keep fighting and the people pursuing the alleged offender will win by default.

I have to inform you that it may harm your defense if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court.
