See, this fucking bug seems to have a bajillion different effects on everyone - it can't be 50 different bugs...can it? The main thing seems to be feeling shite, sneezing, snotting, and then it mutates

Yep, that's exactly it. Roady, sounds like yours is the same. That nausea thing's the pits cos I has vomitphobia, meh.

Everytime I start to feel better, it lasts just a few hours then I feel rubbish again.

I think I've given it to a friend of mine (who was forewarned but took the risk cos of it being work). She's gone down with symptoms more like aqua's but has now lost her voice completely

Sounds to me like it's the same general purpose fluey bug but just attacking the most vulnerable bits

I've only been out further than the corner shop just once in two weeks. Yuk, snarl etc.
