Grant Hart sort of agreed with that, he complained about the lack of variation in the sound and about how every song had a guitar solo whether it was required or not. He wasn't happy about only being allowed to have 9 songs on the album either. I don't mind the odd dud tune here and there, they wrote and recorded so quickly, a few were bound to get by.jcsd said:The problem with Warehouse Stories for me, is that on several occasions the lyrics and the musicbecome a little bit too cliched at times, plus there are some very weak songs on there. Well, Husker Du introduced me to The Minutmen and all the other SST stuff. Given the utterly shitty state of Irish radio in the 80's, hearing Makes No Sense At All thundering from the speakers one evening was a revelation really.ozzie said:Zen Arcade is good. But if you want a really convincing attempt to step outside of the US hardcore norms it's got to be the Minutemen's Double Nickels on the Dime released in the same year (1984).
