Courtesy of the brilliant The Public Whip I note that Keith Hill voted with the government on almost EVERY bill, and consistently backed the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.
However, with a majority of 14,270 voters, and the Tories in second place, he seems unassailable.
I read Gary Younges article.Another useful piece in the Guardian recently is by David Clark(a former advisor to number 10) who argues that people should look at the voting record and pronouncements of their MPs to tactically vote against Blairite New Labour and for Labour party MPs.The theory being that Labour will get with a reduced majority with less Blairite brownnosers.

Seems to me the public whip and those put up by Head Honcho fulfill the service that Clark suggests in his article.
I still think given the appalling nature of the illiberal right wingers who run the government its necessary to vote for Greens/Respect(as Younge says) or abstain.Im thinking of abstaining or spoiling my ballot this time.
