How to tell real fur from fake fur?

If it is real fur, and it gets binned, that means it's not available for anyone who does want a fur one, which, in turn, means that another animal will be killed to meet that demand. So, the ethical thing to do would be to sell it.

As much as I find the idea of fur farming repugnant and wearing it loathsome I find the idea of advocating the rape of people even more loathsome.

why does noone care about all of the fake animals that are slaughtered?

personally I think fake fur is stupid, if you ever wear a coat with rabbit fur as a lining you will never use fake again

that is the reality of fur, soemthing fur wearers try to ignore, just like meat eaters try to ignore what happens in slaughterhouses.

i think its only right to show both sides.
 
What a stupid picture to post. As if people did not know that fur is made from dead animals that have been skinned. No different to a carcass in a butcher's window.

You can show both sides by posting links instead of gory pics. It was already quite clear that cyberfairy was going to try and get the thread binned, what were you hoping to achieve here?

Y'see I don't agree with you. I find the fur trade and the wearing of fur that keeps it going completely repugnant. THe carcasses of animals skinned for fur aren't eaten. We don't NEED to wear fur so we don't need to cause those animals unecessary suffering

What was that old advertisement? Something along the lines of it takes 50 dumb animals to make a fur coat but only one to wear it.

that's all well and good, but it looks really good and feels lush

it's not like we'll ever run out of rabbits
