How to remove sticky label on pan?

This is what I said, back at post number 14.

It always works for me.

Oil.

Oil is your friend with sticky lable glue.

Cooking oil, any will do.

It may take a while. Let it soak in.

Then take it off with neat washing up liquid. It should just wipe away fairly easily.

And it was just a suggestion for future use.
Noted mate

Deffo worth getting in for any future pan purchases I might make from Matalan. That, or I could write a strongly worded letter to them, re their idiotic usage of glue in inappropriate places

Well to be fair, "on the bottom" could be inside or outside....
Hmmm, ok, I'll give you that then ;) i just thought 'on the bottom' would instantly make everyone think that it was actually on the very bottom of the pan. obviously not - kinda puts doggys post into perspective now.

You're all weird :p

FFS - why do they not use glue that peels off?

I'm sure that stuff's very good but you shouldn't have to buy something that costs £3 to remove something when the technology is there to make it peel off in the first place.

Thank you trashy - finally, someone who's as angry as me about it!!:D

Oh sojourner - I hate the bloody sticky label thing too. It makes me furious!
I have actually complained to shops and asked for money back :o

So have I got this right ...the label wasn't inside the pan where you cook things, but underneath ?

(actually just realised, being non-stick it wouldn't have stuck to the actual teflon )

 it's not often I'm impressed

It's a fingernail saver, spray it on stickers and they just wipe off, same with that gluey gunk stickers leave behind just dissolves straight away, and oddly it smells of oranges.

at work we've started to use sticky labels for pricing shoes and shoes boxes that are peelable and leave no residue on the sole and don't tear off part of the shoe box. very pleased about that, as i sourced them  :)

Ahh but what is the carbon footprint required to produce each label?
