So my dad is 86 and no experience of the internet or smart phones. He has shown some interest in getting connected in some way.
If you were doing this how would you do it?
Home broadband with tablet or laptop or chromebook? Smartphone or tablet with sim and big data allocation? Broadband and dot/Alexa and tv as the monitor? He has a broad scottish accent.

NB this developed out of a discussion of him not wanting to pay the tv licence. So he would have to watch ITV news on their catch up but not bbc news on iplayer or any live tv. He might just have to either pay or lie through a locked door.
