How the fuck are you supposed to do corsets up on your own?

who else starts a thread about themself every day?
Loads of people and I'm happy enough with the responses I get to my threads. If people were bored by them they wouldn't reply. Anyway, this is tres dull now and I'm just feeding the troll. If you want to carry on fill yer boots :)

why not replace the hooks with lacing? its not a huge sewing project. or if its just for show, a large band of elastic in the same colour as the corset/basque. some of the dance costumes i used to wear had hooks/eyes at the back at it was a nightmare for quick changes, so a lot of us sewed elastic panels in the back so that you could just slip it on and off over your head

obviousy that wouldnt work for a control type thing but if its just a decorative corset then it should be fine :)

actually, for a support one , i suppose you could put a zip or lacing down one side which would allow you to tighten it enough to pull you in.

This is a good question Madzone! I have always wondered this ever since coming very close to keeling over in a very hot July changing room (aircon broken) whilst trying to buy one just before my wedding (for the wedding night.. ;))... I ended up buying something less complicated that wasn't likely to make me pass out and disappoint the groom!
