Can I just ask that the next time you feel guilty about having a 2 bed flat to yourself and feel obliged to take in a waif, you ask us first?

S'okay. I've just retracted an offer I'd given to another waif/stray.

One of my neighbours mentioned an asylum seeker who needed somewhere to stay, and I said I could clear out the third bedroom -- my place is technically three bedrooms, but the third bed is used as junk/computer room (and it's a tip at the mo' needs clearing out).

But I've sent her a message saying my offer's retracted.

So I've already started to stop being so stupid.

Thank god for that! There is something about giving people somewhere to live rent free which means they take advantage IME - it's happened every time I've done it so I don't do it anymore.
