How often do you wash your trousers?

I wash my trousers every February 29th whether or not they need it. I am not a dirty person. I don't sleep in them.

:p

Every couple of weeks and I work, cycle and sleep in my combats.

Actually thinking of ordering a second pair so I can afford to take them out of circulation.
OMG! Get 2 pairs of combats and some pajamas!

Your posts have been a little Mr Trebus today! :D

I aim to start spending a few weeks in France each year - got my passport form in the post yesterday.

My tastes are simple.
Make sure you spend some time talking to other people, eh? :)
Your French course will be wasted otherwise.
At least, with your hygiene habits, you'll be at home with the French :P

I have been evaluating my first pair of La Redoute combats for a few months now and am actually about to order another pair - they're £42 a pair and they won't deliver to work. (I need a 42 inch waist and no one else sells trousers that size.)

Not sure about pajamas ... a couple of cheap tracksuits perhaps ..

I have a liking for being ready at all times to jump on my bike and charge off up the road.

jeans- every 5 wears or so, unless they get dirty first. i have 2 pairs on rotation though, 1 day wear then 1 day air so they dont get too scaggy. other trousers, every 2 wears. pj's/slobbing trousers, once a week, same day as bed clothes :)

And they open at the front when you answer the door in them.

The La Redoute ones are very good for cycling in though - though the tiny amount of "elastane" makes them a bit too warm for work and prone to static.

Matalan is your friend mate, £4 for tracky bottoms, which you could at a push wear as trousers if you're not in the least bit fashion conscious ;)

They do them in black too ;) Nother few quid for a couple of black Ts and you're sorted :D

All my trousers get washed after a few days, jeans, linen, cotton, whatever.

It depends what trousers. Jeans can go weeks or months without washing if you don't drop loads of food or step in lots of shit. Almost all my trousers are jeans, so I don't wash them a lot ... maybe every 6 weeks ...

If you dont wash jeans regularly then surely they lose their shape and just look scruffy. i usually wash all trousers (apart from suits) after 2 - 3 wears. Nothing quite like freshly washed and ironed jeans that have got their shape back. they look like crap imo when they have been worn too many times without a wash. same goes for normal trousers.

As for suits - generally dry clean when it looks like it needs a clean. dry cleaning isnt good for suits so the less they are washed the better. better to just hang them on the line and give them a brushing and a light iron every now and again.

When they look and/or smell dirty. So tighter trousers get washed more regularly than lose ones that don't really touch me very much, unless I've managed to spill something down them.

I don't really like washing things when they don't seem to need washing.

Wow I thought I was a mucky bird when wearing trousers twice without washing.
You guys must stink!! And I hope the girls wear scented panty liners!!

Yes well think about that when your standing next to a seated person on a crowded train, their faces are practically in your crotch. Its just common decency to have some pleasant fragrance there.
