how often do you have tea out of a tea-pot?

Not very often - if it's just me and Mr. QofG's it tends to be tea bag in the mug but if we have people round we do use our rather snazzy stainless steel tea pot from Heals!

We also each have a little individual pot and cup combination which we use for 'proper' i.e. leaf tea sometimes

I miss picking leaves off my mum's mint plants to make 'tea' out of. Boiling water over a bonfire down the allotment and pouring it onto some leaves you just picked... it just ain't something you can buy in the shops.

are you a regular pot user or do you save it for special occasions, like when the queen or morrissey visits?

I usually drink coffee at home or the gf's but when I go to me dad's we drink tea out of a pot. that's usually a few times per month.

i like it :).....somehow it tastes better out of teh pot vs. making one cup at a time. i don't know why.

Because of this thread I have just found my teapot out and made a lovely brew for the first time in ages.

I confess to being something of a peasant. A full-on tea ceremony would be wasted on me.

My taste in tea is somewhat esoteric, but I buy it by the kilo.

I don't put cow juice in it or dunk biscuits, but I'm often chowing down on some comestible or other at the time.

I was thinking about wine yesterday. I don't buy cheap plonk, but I wouldn't pay more than a fiver for my Californian Shiraz.

I havent used my teapot in ages

It's sure to get used loads in the next house though :)

About 15 times a day. And yes, it is simply delightful.

just had an image of you and Geri sat watching Corrie of an evening pouring out brews as you go

the homely face of anarchism :)

We should have a ragga-style urban75 tea clash.

"what can you brew, you little dibby dibby teabwoy? My tea will lef you dead, so pack up and gwaan!"

"bad man nah stew tea leaf, we strictly brew darjeeling"

"no retreat no surrender, we nah tea bag, nor milk powder"

:D

teapots rock. unfortunately mine drips :( it was a really cheap one from wilko's though. i'd like to get one that doesn't drip, i've had my eye on a really nice scarlet one from the kitchen shop in town, but you never know if it's gonna drip till you've got it home.

:(

I hardly ever use the teapot... it's huge! Keep meaning to get a littler one so that I can make tea for two, and it not go cold - tea does taste so much better from the pot.

If I have Chinese tea with no milk or sugar then I will use a teapot. If I'm drinking "English" style tea with milk then I usually make it in a mug.
