You must've missed some fucking great films.

Name one and what I might have learned from it ?

Films to me either seem to look at human relationships (which I'm not part of in real life in any case) - like TV drama, but in an overblown way - or are "cinematic" for the sake of it and full of special effects .. and the "stars" get in the way .. Spencer Tracy was a star, but in a different way ... maybe it's because it was a long time ago ...

I rather liked Koyanisqaatsi though ....

i bring my little boy most weeks but im not counting that because they are kids films. i go myself about once a month, soemtime two or three times if my local has good fims on. always go by myself, cinema companions are only good for snogging in the back row.
i have taken to watching fims at home more recently because i have a free dvd trial

not enough.

i only like one of the cinemas in cambridge so if a film i'm interested in isn't showing there, i wait for it to come on dvd and watch it in the comfort of my bed. :)

Hardly ever these days.

Looking forward to seeing 'Control' though in a couple of weeks time though. :)

It's too expensive. Maybe once or twice a year. I keep getting the programme for the indie cinema near me, circling what I want to go and see, then forgetting :o

I've never been on my own. Maybe I should try it

I used to go more but lately I'm so sick of the three hours of adverts that have to be endured before the film - every single time I've been I just felt like walking out before the film started. So I've been avoiding it.

So, not only have cinema tickets gone up considerably in the last few years, the amount of adverts have too. There should be a law against it.

You coming to watch The Seventh Seal though, arn't you?

its only £3!

:)

Everybodies complaints on this thread against films are against those bullshit cinemas. Get yerself down to a proper cinema and see some proper filums!

I do the same.

My local cinema is a school the rest of the time. :D

I go to the same Indie cinema that VP mentions, which is about 2 minutes from her house, and about an hour on the bus for me.

I still make it about once a month though!

I like the sound of your school/cinema combo griff.

You're chastising me :(

I'm crap, I admit it :(

There isn't a permanent cinema in this town, although they sometimes show stuff at the heritage centre, so I hardly ever go. I just don't like those popcorn-filled soulless multiscreen places.

Nah, coz you are coming with me next week whether you like it or not!

*shakes fist*

 :p

Name the day and I'll be there :)

(can I bring popcorn to throw at people?)
