How Often Do You Eat Out?

Quite often since seeing my boyfriend. We don't get weekends away that often or certainly no longer hols and rarely go out on an evening (babysitting) so a spot of midday dinner out is our extravagance.

It sounds a lot but there are some very cheap pubs around here and nice cheap curries.

When I lived in Oxford going to a restaurant was a once a year event, it was so costly.

We eat out about twice or three times a week - usually about £20 - £30 a head.

We both do stressful jobs & quite often just don't want to cook when we get in from work, & SE London is good for cheap-ish & cheerful places.

How much - cheapest pubs have meals for about £4.99. I'll go up to about a tenner a head I guess (not including wine etc). I think the last time I spent more on that was at christmas - that was a bit overpriced.

Probably a couple of times a month, £15-20 a head on average. It tends to be because we're out in town anyway, although sometimes we'll just try out somewhere local for the hell of it.

Rarely, for special occasions; can be up to £50 but usually more like £30. If If I'm in the countryside and there's a good pub nearby I'll indulge in a pub lunch of course, and I do get the occasional takeaway (prob not more than once or twice a month).

Currently the poll indicates that those who eat out rarely tend to spend far more freely when they do than people who eat out more frequently, which is about what I'd have expected.

I don't think people's lunch habits should factor in because it's so often a meal of convenience or work-related necessity. I'd be more interested in people's habits when they're deliberately there for the food and the "event" of it, with other considerations-- feeding, especially-- aside.
