Very shiny. Over speced for an office laptop but at that price why not?

Yes, you are covered by your CC if it is a scam, over an inital £50 or something, which they nearly always waive. I recon it's a scam.

Probably right up until the point you start trying to do much with it...

I'll be interested to see what the machines (should they ever actually be delivered to anyone) perform like on a mid-long term basis, and what their warranty support is like for things like hardware failures...

For that money, I'm going to guess "amusing". Unless you're the customer, of course.

Personally, I've already got 2 above that spec, so no need to purchase simply because it's cheap.
 
S'got Linux pre-installed, so I'd make sure the user isn't XP insistent.

If they are, I'd upgrade the RAM, especially with that processor.

mrs Angel got the Dell Inspirion 1501 I am on now for work for £300 - brand new afaik-even though they say it's a refurb - can't see why - or that it has been used at all - great service - £315 for a 'new' laptop with 3 yr warranty
