How much should one pay for a potatoe masher?

They're brilliant we have one it's the best masher we've ever had. Unfortunately it broke :( but due to a bit of ingenuity and a friend with a spot welder it was fixed in no time! :cool:
 
I cant believe that people are discussing the merits of an £8 masher - go to poundstretcher and get a metal one for a quid.

it wont make any difference to your mash.

its like that Jewellers in London that Sells sterling silver lids for marmite jars . :eek:

its just another way to strip you of your cash
 
Have Lakeland discontinued the Spudnik potato masher:confused:

Can't find it on their website any longer - it was under a fiver IIRC, but they are now on e-bay for £13:eek:
 
The squiggly one looks quite nice, but the result is pretty shit mash imo. Definitely go for a grid masher (think mine was about £2/£3) or a ricer. Only had mash from a ricer once, but it was lovely :)
