How Much Booze Have You Got In Right Now?

- Bottle of Lidl own brand Baileys; can't tell the difference and it's about half the price.

-Bottle of rioja/merlot or similar sub-£5 a bottle red wine.

- Bottle of Smart Price Vodka from Asda. Which isn't bad at all. Unlike say whisky - vodka is vodka to me.

Keep meaning to spend about £100 on spirits and liquors in Lidl; of all the supermarkets they seem to have by far the best selection, all at ace prices.

Last inch of a bottle of sloe gin
Last inch of a bottle of cooking brandy
Most of a bottle of Glenfiddich whisky liqueur
1/3 of a bottle of Amarula (cream liqueur)
1/3 of a bottle of ruby port left over from Xmas cooking
Nearly a whole bottle of something called "Toffee Fabulous" which came from Lidl about three years ago and is too foul to drink. Now I've been reminded of its existence I'm going to pour it down the drain :)

I really don't drink on my own at home, and I don't have people round that much, so any alcohol that comes into the house tends to stay there.

28 bottles of single malt whisky; 30 bottles of assorted real ales; 24 can plus six bottles of lager (for guests); approximately 30 bottles of red wine; approximately 20 bottles of white wine; six bottles of champagne; two bottles of dessert wine; one bottle of Madeira; two bottles of port; one bottle of sherry; four bottles of gin; six bottles of rum; six bottles of vodka; one bottle of Armagnac; one bottle of other brandy; one bottle of home-made sloe gin; one bottle of home-made bramble brandy; one bottle of home made blackberry vodka; one bottle of vermouth; about two dozen other assorted spirits and liqueurs. And that's what I can remember off the top of my head, without going downstairs!
If you sold that lot, you could pay off your mortgage and retire!

Maximum bonus points! That's even better than a crappy bottle of tequila with a plastic hat! :D

I've just got back from Morrison's where I went a bit mental. There's a shelf in my kitchen that looks like this:

6 bottles of Timothy Taylor Landlord Bitter
3 bottles Adnam's Broadside
2 bottles Bateman's XXXB
2 bottles Joseph Holt 1849
3 bottles Bath Ales Wild Hare
2 bottles Farmer's Harvest
3 bottles Thwaites Lancaster Bomber
2 bottles Thwaites Thoroughbred Gold

My kitchen looks like a pub. :D

Can't wait to get stuck into this:

Hmmm.... lots :)

About... 60 bottles of claret,
20 half bottles of Sauternes,
30 bottles of Cote Rotie,
10 bottles of other Rhone reds
50 bottles of assorted Aussie reds
10 other red wines, mostly South African I think
20 assorted spirits, can't remember all offhand (I know there're 20 because the 4x5 rack is full :)) but there's definitely some vodka, probably several rums, pisco, gin, armagnac, and probably some weird fruit concoctions.

...hmmm. Better get some beers in.

The same as usual - sod all. I buy booze to drink it when I want to drink it, not put it on a shelf or in a cupboard. Apart from the odd bottle of wine that my partner might buy, the only time I/we ever have any full bottles of anything is after Xmas when we might get some given to us - but they don't last very long!

No, just got a thirst on...

e2a:

no, really: I went through a period a few years back of buying wine by the case, and also en primeur, which arrives some years later, so it just keeps coming... And we used to enjoy a few cocktails in front of the telly of a Friday night, until we decided to cut down the boozing, hence the selection of spirits.

5 gallons of freshly ready home brew. 'fixby gold' which tastes fantastic.
3 gallons of last homebrew still going, a hoppy stout which isn't bad.
6 bottles of unusual beers we found in a good ale offy in primrose hill.
bottle of poitin
bottle of plum brandy
bottle of bombay sapphire
bottle of Havana club rum
bottle of pimms
4 or so cans of carling on top of the kitchen cupboard in case there's ever a chronic world alcohol shortage
1 can kronenburg roadie left behind, joined the carling up there recently.

Three litres of perry, a bottle of Nikita vodka as reduced to 7 quid at Sainsburys and four bottles of South African Merlot as reduced from 4.50 to 2 quid a bottle at Sainsburys:cool:
I wish it was the weekend.

10 litre polypin of this stuff:

3 bottles of Umbel Ale
1 bottle of Thwaites Lancaster Bomber
2 bottles of Thwaites Wainwright
1 bottle of Ringwood Seventy-Eight

7 bottles of French Red ranging from a 2007 Jacob's Creek for a fiver to a Chateau Thomas Lussac Saint-Emilion at £12+.

1 litre bottle of Smirnoff Red.
1 litre bottle of Jameson's 12 year-old Whiskey.

That beer looks ace-like a Cornish motorbike club back patch

Heh! :D The beer's not as naff than the logo, tbf. :D

I got hooked on it at a beer festival I went to in St Ives a couple of months back. It's nice to have a local brew that's so good. Doom Bar's a good pint from down here, too. :)

Do you live in the flat above a pub by any chance ?

Being a student I don't really tend to hang on to alcohol, but atm I have 3/4 of a bottle of Vodka, half a bottle of whiskey and 1/4 of a bottle of Jagermeister. I think it's actually the most alcohol I've ever owned at the same time!

You live in a pub, don't you?

I've got half a bottle of vodka (my daughter's), 3/4 bottle of Fernet Branca, most of a box of white wine, a bit of commercial cider, 30 litres of home-made white wine awaiting bottling and 17 bottles maturing in the cellar. By this evening I will also have 9 litres of home-made cider on the go.

Feck all inside me :p - gsv says he's off the booze until my birthday next month, so I don't want to open any wine at home, as I'll never get through it alone in a reasonable time. I expect I'll have a glass in the interval of the opera I'm going to tonight, though.

But there's still several leftover bottles of our wedding champagne (delicious stuff), about 5 bottles of some lovely white someone gave us, a Jura whiskey for gsv, a becherovka (Slovak apperatif, actually rather nice) and some hideous stuff called 'Balsam' that my dad brought back from Georgia. No vodka ATM, I think, unusually.

Hello friendly neighbour! :D

1 bottle of Bricout champagne

1 bottle pinot grigio

2 bottles chilean merlot

1 bottle chilean cab sauv

oh, and a half bottle of cheapo voddie for my lass and her g/f

I think I might have to test the merlot - don't wanna make my guests ill with rubbish wine, do I?
