How many of your 'five a day' did you eat yesterday, and what were they?

In that case, I got four that day; five if you count the peas in the veg samosa.

a portion is roughly eqivalent to an american measuring cup full for most things. except salad, and very light/watery stuff, where you have to eat more.

you can't count potatoes or yams.

We have a one liter and a two liter measuring cup, as well as a plastic thing that is exactly 'one cup', imperial.

Have you got a link for how much counts as a portion? It's doesn't mention about salad on the NHS website.

Yesterday:

Carrots,
Salad (quite a lot of salad, possibly two portions worth)
A whole lettuce
Wine. As made from grapes, which are a fruit. :p:p

Shouldn't such advise be clearer instead of being ambiguous? :)

It is a bit ambiguous, I agree - but it does seem to separate smoothies and juices, and only refers to juice as being something you can count once.

Plus, smoothies don't go through the juicing process, they are blended. At least mine are, I don't know about commercially made ones.
