How many London boroughs have you lived in?

Newham, Hammersmith & Fulham and Southwark - all in one year

Now I am in Hackney and I'm stopping

Not many boroughs, because I've moved around a lot but mainly in the same boroughs:

Tower Hamlets (my Grandad's place in Limehouse, and my own place now in Bethnal Green)

Hackney (about 5 different places)

Wood Green - what the Hell borough is that? Lived in the pub I worked in.

Tottenham - Haringey

White Hart Lane - again, no idea what borough that is

Pimlico - Westminster. My only S postcode, but actually North of the river.

East Ham - Newham.

Islington

I feel like I lived in Lewisham, but I just worked there a lot.

I've lived in Kingston, Surbiton, Twickenham, Streatham, Battersea, Bayswater, West Hampstead, Shepherd's Bush and Camden. What's that in boroughs?

Havering...and that's it! Mind you, talk to many of the locals there and they will quite happily tell you they do not, in any way, want to be seen as a London borough. Funny, because many of these locals actually moved out from the East End in the first place!

Was toying with the idea of moving into Ilford/Seven Kings when we first got married (1978), but couldn't find anything we wanted for what little money we had so ended up out in Thurrock - and have stayed there ever since. With the growing gulf in house prices between Thurrock and even the 'cheaper' parts of London such as Barking & Dagenham, there's no chance of our ever moving back by the look of it. Shame, because I still fancy living somewhere like Wanstead - lots of green but also handy for a quick journey into central London...
