Yup. Thing is, I fucking know this one isn't gonna improve but shall persevere, relentlessly, for reasons A) and B) above.

don't agree, i've already wasted too much of my life ploughing on with something, only to reach the end of it and think "why did i bother". there is so much shit writing about that its worth adopting a hard inflexibility about these things, if you're wandering away from the damned thing in the first 100 pages, then give it to a charity shop and move onto the next one.

my bedside total is currently at 8, all but one i've started, they'll all hopefully to be finished sometime sooner or later.

None at the moment 'cos I am 'inbetween' books but normally I have whatever I am reading.

Although, being pedantic, it will be in my bag next to the bed rather than on my bedside table. If I leave it there are i am likely to forget it then get angry when I reach the train station and realise I have nothing to read on my journey!
