How long will the Southern Trains/Thameslink emergency timetable be in place?

It might help speed up the Brighton line. Since the new timetable started congestion and slow running trains have put 15 minutes on the journey.

I wasn't wrong. Sadly.
The timetable that started today is not the same one that has been running in 'emergency' mode since the changeover.
It's also not set to become the 'regular' timetable; it's a starting point to building up to the full timetable that was supposed to start in May. As I understand it they will gradually add services back in as more drivers become available. How long that will take I don't know.

What a way to miss my point. Well done on the pedantry though.

What's the latest? From what I can see many thameslink are cancelled this morning.
Branch on the line this morning. My 0704 was packed due to earlier cancellations and ‘disaperences’ but on time. They are still saying the massive delays this evening are down to a branch on the line.

Assuming it’s from a giant sequoia or something similar. Still, I didn’t really want all of my Friday evening.
