bout 20/25 mins on bike or 15min walk and 10 min bus or 2x10min bus

so i cycle unless it's raining bad

Once every 5-6 weeks I travel for 24-36 hours to get to work, then fall out of bed and I'm at work no commute at all.

Unfortunately my punters rarely adhere to office hours so in theory I'm abit 24/7

I could never commute on a daily basis, soul destroying

Are you a coke dealer?

In the morning IF I'M LUCKY 1 3/4 hrs, on the way home IF I'M LUCKY 2 hrs but this can just as easily be 2 1/2hrs (longest I think, was about 3 1/2hrs, but that was down to weather).

That, and a tank and a bit of fuel a week, so the thick end of £75 per week on fuel, plus wear and tear on me and the car.

It's got that I stay over at my own expense 2 nights a week to keep me sane.

Still, got a relocation allowance so a move is on the cards.

Hoorah, I dream of a 45min drive to work in the morning and a proper breakfast before I have to leave and being able to get home and still be able to do stuff rather than eat . . . sleep . . . get up . . . go to work . . . repeat!

20 minute bike ride. Or about the same time if it's pissing it down and I get the tube.

South Ealing > Hammersmith. It's just over 4 miles.

Nil.
Unfortunately it means I can stay in the house until the food and booze runs out developing twitches and gauntness. I've certainly done more than a week where I didn't venture beyond the chinese shop two doors away.

between 1 to 2 hours - work is 67 miles away, if I leave before 6am or after at 9am I can do it in an hour, if I leave anytime between it usually takes upto 2 hours

coming home, if I leave at 6pm it usually take 1.5 hours, leave after 8am and it takes an hour or just over

when I lived in London and lived 12 miles from my work place it would sometimes take me longer to get to work on the tubes etc than it does from where I live now

Hmm, I don't commute to work, but I commute to University. Maybe I should have also voted for "I don't work"?

I leave the house at 7.45ish. Connecting train is 8.03 or 8.10. Then I have to wait at the connecting station until 8.23. Get to the station nearest to Uni at 9.10, get into Uni around 9.30.

My most exciting post, evah!

10 minute drive (car share). I could get the bus to work and back, but I need the car during the day to go out to clients, now they've scrapped the pool cars.

i drive about 1/2 an hour thro the bush and into the beach to my new office...i play the music loud and i smoke my sweet ciggies and its one of the best parts of my day

i often have to drive at work too...to rainbow beach/Muddubra etc... 4-6 hour journeys there and back....love it :)

Usually a 5-10 min bus ride and a 20 min walk to get there and a 30 -40 min walk back (or the same as the first if i'm knackered or got shopping etc)

might be walking there and back soon though as money is tight this month !

:(

15 mins bus to train (or 30 mins walk), 30 on train, 20 mins walk to work, so 1-1.25 hrs on a normal day.

Used to take 2 hours on buses + walking before I moved (for 1/3 the distance).

About a 10 minute walk.

There is nothing better than a job where you can walk home for lunch.

(Apart from working from home, obviously.)

East Dulwich to Earls Court:

When I cycle it takes 40-50 minutes, depending on how energetic i'm feeling, weather, traffic conditions etc.

If i use public transport it's either bus and tube / train and tube /bus + train + tube and can take between 1 and 2 hours.
I hate that journey by Public transport so usually cycle, unless it is really pissing down.

About 10 minutes on the bike - Brixton to Westminster - it's only a couple of miles. But soon it's to be about four times that - to White City

I've never worked that near home sadly but can nip home at lunch in the car if I fancy it. As well as time it's got to save money, no need for a car etc.

Just over 10 minutes in the car, then an hour on the train, then 10 minutes on the tube and a 2 minute walk to get to work (Village in Northamptonshire to Angel Islington) the jobs I want are in London but I don't want to live there, I dont mind the commute but it would be nice to get home earlier...

Does your work pay for the travel? That sounds like it would cost a fortune!
