I'm one of poor bluey's tormentors who likes to do the washing up done straight away / at the end of the evening because of
a) the mouse
b) I'd much rather do it in the evening when there's people sitting around and chatting in the background and entertaining me
c) I much prefer walking into a fairly clean kitchen in the morning to have my coffee and jam sandwich rather than into a place that looks as if two anaesthetised alcoholic donkeys have been surprised by an earthquake mid-sesh (never mind coming home from work in the evening and having available space and pots and pans to cook dinner)
d) I don't understand the logic of leaving the washing up overnight/for a couple of days because surely you can only do that once - the first time you've moved into a new place; after that you'll have to do 2/3 days old washing up every day?

You can still buy sinks with plugs. I bought one in January. Our plug has no chain coz it is the old plug. Have you seen the price of new ones?
Hubby sometimes does the dishes at night and sometimes the next day.
see, i thought i like washing up for its therapeutic quality but onw i have a dish washer i dont miss the back ache from standing at the sink (which was too low) and having my fingernails break all the time from being in and out of water all day.
it would be nice if my housemates could see their way to putting the crockery they use in to the dish washer instead of the sink right next to it although part of me likes doing the dishes 3D tetrus puzzle of stacking it all in the dishwasher
