London has its upsides, but I'd move back to Hull without a backward glance if the opportunity arose.

I meant more when I have a good enough salary, not when London becomes 'affordable', as that's never going to happen

Likewise. I lived in London for almost 30 years, not counting university terms in Leeds, and I still love it a lot, but I don't think I can live there anymore. At the same time, though, I will always identify myself as a London girl and always feel completely at home there.
