How long can you keep an open bottle of wine?

Does anyone know how long a red wine-box stay fresh for?

Not quite sure of the answer to this, however, take out the inserts and blow them up and they make lovely travel cushions.

That is blow them up in the increase air pressure sense.

They make useful pillows for the bath too.

well they (?) reccomend putting salt on a fresh red wine stain to soak up as much of the wine as poss, but im presuming that this wine has dried? perhaps if you make it wet with some cold water then add salt?

or if not....sandpaper?!
We used to spray fresh spills of red wine with soda water. A solution of bicarb might work but if you get the wood too wet it's going to ruin the wood. You might get it out with something like turps or white spirit, but it'll also get rid of any varnish or timber treatment.

As long as it takes to drink it.

Decent wine keeps for a couple of weeks and stays drinkable, as least that's whaT WE TELL 'EM IN THE PUB D:
