That's the peak speed on your wireless network PC to PC - but clearly not from your ISP

my stats are similar. it's okay for surfing but a bit shit for downloading music and films.

I downgraded from 4 megs a few months back - all I need is a steady 64K or so for streaming music ... anything else is a bonus

its to do with the contention ratio. though bigga and you might have the same package, if ther are comparitively fewer people near to him with the same ISP (hence sharing the bandwidth) then he will have a higher download rate than you.

It might mean that you're connected to someone else's wireless network.

Just happened to me - I'm not with Orange Home, so checked and found I wasn't connected to my own ISP.
