mentalist. :p

Yeah i know, when we get the food home i have to pile it all up in certain orders as well, freezer, fridge, cupboard, cleaning/toiletries and then i have to put them away in that order. The cabbage is not allowed to do it as he wont do it right. I have issues......:(:hmm:

I do that too :o

(and will rewrite a list if it's too messy)

Yup i re-write when its messy too, i am not as bad as my mum though she used to walk round the supermarket with a calculator as we did the shop (though thats cos we was poor):D.

I shop for 3 day's worth of meat, twice a week, plus sometimes a pack of bacon as a back up. I plan what I am going to cook as I am shopping. I eat out one day a week. I can change my mind about how I will cook any meat on the day, the plan is not written down. I sometimes end up with a 'chef's special' where I invent something as I go along. Really I invent it in my head, thinking it through just before starting to cook.

Sometimes I chop an onion and start to sizzle it in oil, then check the fridge to see what I have to make a meal with. How is that for spontaneity?

Is he allowed to pack the shopping bags? :hmm:

yes weirdly i dont care how the shopping goes into the bags, i chuck everything in and only make sure that the bread is ok, thats about it. It makes no sense even to me. But no putting it away when we get home though:D

I make a complete dogs dinner out of packing, unpacking, shopping in general. I think one of you mentalists should do my shopping for me.

:o

I have a weird thing about packing and putting away... I'm not normal am I? :D

Well actually i think we are perfectly normal to be honest...no really i do, its just about making sure things dont get wrecked or put away incorrectly, nothing worse than not being able to find things you need!

I pop into Tesco on the way home from work every day and pick one of about 5 ready meals I like - there's no planning involved.

So you do the shopping, packing, unpacking & cooking?

If you also sleep on the damp patch & never talk through films, that makes you the perfect bird.

We shop together, I do the packing most of the time, I do the putting away most of the time.

Lol at not talking through films, me? never? :D

There's nothing wrong with a properly packed shopping bag. I never let anyone pack my shopping, I don't like it. I like to know where things are for ease of putting away when I get home.

It depends,,,,,usually during the day, apart from the weekends where i might think about sat/sunday on friday evening.....

have limited space and a tiny freezer so do my shop in dribs and drabs !

I don't like those assistants in some supermarkets who try to 'help' you do the packing. It really annoys me that they put about three items into a plastic bag, then get another plastic bag and put three items in that, etc. They all do it, so I assume they're either actually trained to be so cr@p or they're all mind blowingly naturally cr@p.

I go through recipe books and write a list for the week, do a big shop once a week and cook 2-3 complicated recipes at the weekend, then do quick things in the week after work.
